I want to cancel a data contract which has expired. I contacted the cancellations number, 082 1958 and held on for 20 minutes while very loud and irritating music played and a voice recording intermittently stated that the call would be answered by the next available person.
Eventually I gave up and contacted Customer Care on 082 111, this call was answered in good time, and after asking me a whole lot of security questions, the agent said he would have to put me through to cancellations. Eventually he also gave up and asked me to call cancellations again myself or else go into a shop, as he could not continue to hold for them!
I asked him what the problem is and he told me there are a lot of people cancelling their contracts. I am not surprised!
This is really bad service Vodacom. Actually nothing has changed - it's what I have come to expect over the past years. And it's the reason I have reduced the number of Vodacom contracts I use in my business substantially over the past few years.
