I recently upgraded my phone at Cell C the Glen. I had a normal size SIM but the phone that I got needs a micro SIM.According to CellC Technical Dept, I was meant to do a SIM swop to a microSIM. I was not advised at the store. Instead they cut my old SIM.Since then, I get sms' about missed calls without my phone even ringing. I therefore requested to do a SIM swop on Sunday the 3rd which was only attended to today after I made numerous calls to follow up. Its still not rectified to date as the micro sim provided at CellC the glen during the upgrade was already allocated a number thus could not be RICA'd. The technical agent then insisted that I buy a new sim which she adamantly maintained that it would cost me 99c. I went to CellC Boulders -the micro sim costs in excess of R130 according to them yet if I did a SIM swop there, it would cost R150 which is the normal price for a SIM Swop on contract. To date, I have difficulties connecting to the web. I have spoken to over 6 technical agents, calling them endlessly since Monday the 4th and till today, the issue still persists. I am paying for a service Im not getting & the CPA exists to prevent such practices & protect us against the likes of CellC
