Galaxy note 2 broke in 10 days and MTN won't repla

Telecommunications

I was due for a hardware upgrade on a corporate account and so I took the galaxy note 2. 10 days after getting it the phone stopped charging for no apparent reason. I took it back to MTN where I was told that the return period ended after 7 days from purchase and that I could send it away for repairs and that it would take 2 weeks. No loaner phone would be supplied. The mtn rep had very little concern for my situation and didn't offer any solutions. I explained that given this is my work phone I can't go without it or a replacement for 2 weeks. I can't see why I'm the one inconvenienced when mtn sold me a defective product. To my mind they should replace the phone and let me on my way. If the phone were 6 months old I could see them sending it away for repairs but this is just 10 days old. And even then they should make it as small an inconvenience for the customer as possible by picking up the phone and returning it to me and giving me a loaner phone. I would have been open to any constructive solution but the mtn rep seemed as if they could care less to help me.
