Vodacom
Seven day return policy on Faulty handset

Telecommunications

I just received a Galaxy Note2 LTE from Vodacom in Nelspruit. After the initial setup i realised that the phone is not reading the simcard. Tested with another simcard and the same problem. Took the phone to vodacom repair centre in Menlyn and they tested with their own simcard and the phone also did not read their simcard. They also informed me that it is the third Galaxy note 2 this week that had a simcard reader problem. During the upgrade process we were informed that if there is any problems with the handset it can be returned within seven days for a replacement handset. To me that does not mean that they will take ur new phone that has been out of the box for less than 12 hours and send it away for seven days to be tested. The phone was tested at Vodacom repair centre as faulty so why can they not give the replacement as promised. With the phone now out of my hands they can repair it and send it back as no fault found and i might have problems with a defective phone for the next two years.

Another issue i have with the phone is that the Samsung representative at Menlyn said that is is better to get the galaxy without LTE because LTE is still not working properly.
