DSL SERVICE CLOSE TO NON-EXISTENT

Our business based in Paarden Eiland Cape Town, has an Afrihost Managed Telkom DSL Line. The speed is so slow one can hardly work on it and is often dropped. What makes matters worse, is that we use a VOIP telephone system AND almost all of our business applications are cloud-based...

We have been logging faults and queries to Afrihost over the past year but the problem seems to be worse than ever. The Afrihost support desk is quick to respond by email or a call back BUT THE PROBLEM IS NEVER SOLVED. Most recent email response from the Afrihost:

'The fault is still open. Telkom advised the fault on your line is caused by the congestion on your local exchange. They are yet to dispatch a technician or implement a solution for the current situation..'

This is an ongoing problem that has not been resolved in a year?! Note the Afrihost package name: 'AFRIHOST MANAGED Telkom DSL Line' ...

(Calling their support line will have you waiting for anything from 10 to 15 minutes?! And the live chat on their support website is not an option because our internet is so slow it doesn't even want to open?!)
