I have been with MTN for 18 years. The reception in the Garden Route is extremely poor- especially on the internet and for that reason I decided to migrate to another cell-phone supplier. On 8 December I went to cancel my contract & make the number pre-paid being imperative that I keep it for business purposes. The visit with Mr April was less than satisfactory, I completed a form & asked Mr April when I could migrate - he wrote at the top of the form that I could on 4 January. I had my doubts whether this happen as Mr April appeared to be fast asleep. Service did not seem to be an issue, or something he had been training in. I am quite convinced that the we both had the mutual agreement that I was actually wasting his time. On both 27 Dec and 27 Jan I was issued another airtime top-up and the debit order ran off my account, When I queried this I was told that I had not cancelled the contract, I needed to fill in another form. It was only my insistence that we draw the Dec form that my completed form appeared - filed and unattended. Thank you MTN for the free airtime, I reversed the debit order - try to complete the transaction, and for heaven's sake train the staff!!
