My landline stopped working on Friday 17 February 2014. I only discovered the fault when I returned home from work. I tried to call Telkom on Saturday 18 February 2014 over a period of two hours with no luck. The Telkom phones remained unanswered. I eventually sms'd my fault to the number given on Telkom's voicemail. I did not receive an acknowledgement of the sms reporting. I called Telkom again on Sunday 19 February 2014 and managed to get connected to an agent to whom I reported the fault and was given a reference number. It is now Wednesday 29 January 2014 and my telephone line is still dead! I also do not have internet as I have a modum connected to this line. I have been calling Telkom daily to get an update on the status of my service report but am told each day that my complaint is in the system and that a technician will attend to it as soon as one is available! I am told that they have a backlog of faults to attend to and mine will be seen to in due course! It is nearly two weeks! I have posted a complaint on their website, twice, with no response!
