My Telkom Landline has been out of order of a week

After a storm on Monday 20 January 2014, my telkom landline no longer worked. I reported this on Tuesday 21 January 2014. I clearly stated that we must be contacted before a technician comes to our house, so that we can make sure somebody is home. However, on Thursday, 23 January 2014, a technician arrived unannounced and the person at home at that stage was not aware of the problem we had with the Telkom voice line and said to the Technician that the ADSL line was working fine. The technician left and closed the call. When I contacted Telkom to explain the confusion, they just did not listen to my problem and logged a new call. I asked to speak to the supervisor to try and expidite the matter, but the operator did not put me through, instead came back to me and said that the supervisor will escalate the matter. To date I have only received an SMS from Telkom, with a new reference number, 113CRK240114, no further updates. In the meantime, I will be charged rental for a service that I do not have. The last communication from Telkom was on Friday, 24 January 2014, at 8.59 am.
