I upgraded my contract last week friday. today my phone doesn't work. the sales team at V&A Waterfront were not helpful at all. their rationale: i am out of the 7 day period. as I mentioned, i received this phone on Friday last week. the manager of the store, Shameega Opperman was very unhelpful and in fact rude. the exact wording from your contract in re out the box failures (OBF) reads as follows:

"in the event that your device is has a manufacturing defect and this is identified and communicated in the first seven days from the date of purchase the complete unit all original items and packaging can be exchanged for a possible exchange on the same model or a refund"

I upgraded at c3h30pm on Friday the 17th January 2014, I reported and communicated the defect at c14h15 on 24 January 2014. I am compliant with the above clause and therefore entitled to a either a refund or an exchange - as per above. your sales team in the V&A Waterfront store were extremely unhelpful. Please help. I intend to escalate this. I would ask you to call me but my new phone does not work
