I upgraded my MTN Contract today and received a brand new iPhone 5S, 64GB at the MTN Store at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.
MTN Consultant and I signed at the store the TERMS AND CONDITIONS, i refer to section (2) 2.1 In the event that your device has a manufacturing defect and this is identified and communicated in the first 7 (seven) days from the date of pirchase, the copmplete unit (all original items and packaging) can be returned for a possible exchange on the same model or a refund.
When I packed out the phone and switched it on at home there was four white lines on the screen. Depening on the signed Terms and Conditions with MTN I returned on the same day (today) to the MTN Store and was asking to exchange the handheld. The Store Manager MS Shameega refused to exchange the handheld and mentioned that a NEW terms & condition policy for iPhones is in place. She also refused to show me the NEW terms & conditions for iPhone which I NEVER have signed with MTN.
Since when can a MTN store manager superseed the law of signed terms & conditions?
