My ADSL speed was recently upgraded from a 1meg to a 2meg line - now I am getting speeds of 0.3 - 0.6 IF I am lucky! It's impossible to do anything as the latency is 800 to 2000ms! Nevermind the disconnects that occurs on a daily basis. I have called on numerous times but the "technicians" always give me the same story: "restart your router and check if it works". No, it is NOT my router. Ports are then reset but 5mins later the same problem persists.

I hvae asked that my contract be cancelled as I'm unable to work like this, but Telkom begged me to stay in exchange for a monthly discount valid for 12 months.

The discount is useless as I'm still paying for a service that is more frustrating than anything else.

Please cancel my account as I will be making use of another more reliable ISP (that does not work through Telkom)
