No possible way to get service from Telkom

I moved and requested Telkom to transfer my ADSL line to the new premises (not far, Faerie Glen to Moreleta Park). The request was early December, technician showed up on the afternoon of 10 Jan. After doing his thing and the ADSL modem still not connecting, he said he had to do something at the switch and will call me when done. I received no call. Then the nightmare started. Every day I call Telkom support, we go through the same process every day. Wait 30 minutes to get a person to help you, reboot the modem, reset the modem, change to the Telkom guest account, get transferred to another department (usually they disconnect you at this point), reset/reboot/guest account, transfer to another department, wait, get told to record a line fault and transferred again, wait 30 plus minutes, get told that they cannot report a line fault etc. I have spent 3hours plus every day for the last week on the phone without any result. Meantime Telkom keeps on billing me R977.04 per month for a service I do not receive. There seems to be no way to get any response from Telkom, even the complaints line.
