Bad service and impatient consultants

For the past week i have been experiencing horrible line speeds and extremely high latency issues.
I contacted my ISP who told me that the problem with telkom...
As i phone telkom the consultant tells me that a ticket has already been logged to check out my line but i am going to have to wait 3 or so days for a technician to sort it out. All fair... But she also says that if i shut down the modem she might be able to refresh the line for me. I was calling from work and on the other line i got held of my girl who was at home and supposed to help me reset the modem and let me know when its off. The consultant then got impatient because of having to wait 30 seconds or so for me to tell her it is switched off and asked me to please call again when i am at the modem myself? I must wait up to 3 days (bad line since 29/04/2013) for anyone to maybe contact me but she cant hold the line for 30 seconds??? I want to know from telkom when my problem will get sorted out and i want results... THAT IS AFTER ALL WHAT I PAY FOR???
