On 31 December 2013 I purchased a "My Gig5 Mobile Internet Once-Off" data bundle to top up my depleted data. After two or three hours, the bundle still hadn't activated. It showed on my statement, but no mobile data had been allocated. I proceeded to phone Vodacom with regard to this. The consultant I spoke to was helpful and confirmed the problem and said that the resolution will take approximately 24h. I then asked if he couldn't rather cancel the purchase, since my monthly data would be reset the evening in anyway, if I have to wait that long. He informed me that that wouldn't be a problem, but he would have to escalate the issue and that would take about 2 weeks to process. I thought fine, that wasn't an issue, since it was still 2 week away from my billing date.

Yesterday, they billed me the full amount, including the data bundle I never received. I found the consultant friendly and helpful, but it seems that the road from there goes nowhere. I really feel robbed at this point in time.
