Double billing - can't get it resolved

This is infuriating. I've been with Axxess for years now, and it pains me to write this report, as they are usually good about what they do. I suppose they've become too big and now lack in customer service.

Every 1st of every month I got billed for that month's ADSL and line rental (which automatically got paid with my credit card).

At the start of this month I requested the transfer of my line from Axxess back to Telkom (as I'm moving and need the Telkom line closed at this property).

The transfer happened, but the internet (ADSL) stopped working at the same time. After a frustrating day of back-and-forth, they seem to be adamant that I need to pay for this month's ADSL (despite having paid it on the 1st). I understand that the line rental went back to Telkom, but even if the bundle of line-and-ADSL is offered cheaper, I should surely then just pay the difference that it makes to them? Or better yet, they should keep the ADSL active, as I've already paid for the month.

Their emails so far has been blunt (or grammatically confusing) and nobody seems to be able to tell me why, despite having paid on the 1st, that I need to pay the same amount again today.

Pathetic.
