Contract NOT Cancelled

I cancelled my contract in writing in September 2013 - 30 days notice was given and i was told that from 16 October 2013 my contract will be cancelled! - REF NUMBER 7064256 was given for details and confirmation.

the number and SIM card relating to this contract became unusable and i assumed the contract was then cancelled.

since then I have still been receiving invoices and payment was taken.

why am i still being billed and why was my contract not cancelled or reinstated???

After hours of being in contact with customer service and accounts department no one can tell me why the contract was reinstated and i am still being billed!
