Billed after cancelling a contract

I cancelled my top up contract on 9 August and was advised that I would still be billed for August as it takes 30 days for the contract to be cancelled. I was also assured that I would not be billed in September as my number would be converted to prepaid from 1 September. To my utter horror I discovered that I was once again billed in September despite this undertaking by Cell C. The excuse is that it takes 30 days for a contract to be cancelled - so what is wrong with my calculations??? 30 days from 9 August is up by the 10th of September - or am I smoking my socks??? The apathy of the Cell C staff not to rectify this is actually something that I have gotten used to by now - never have I ever really had any legitimate complaint sorted out without having to fight tooth and nail. I will not allow more money to be debited off my account when I kept my end of the bargain by cancelling the contract in time.
