Cancellation of contract in October already!!!

I sent an email to customer care after being told by the call centre to do so to cancel my contract. This was done on 29 October 2013. I received a response via email on 31 Oct 2013 saying it was forwarded to the retentions department and they will respond to be in 2 working days. I then received an email from the retentions depart stating "Good day Ms Davis Thank you for contacting Cell C cancellation department. Kindly note that your contracted line 0848225690 will be cancelled effective from 14/12/2013, keeping number as pre-paid. Last bill will be in January on call charges done in December. For any queries you may contact [Email Removed] I do not use this sim card so no call charges should have gone off, however another months subscription fee has been deducted today. I am currently on hold for 25 minutes and still waiting for a retentions consultant to speak to me.
