I had a contract with 8ta that expired in April this year. I send a cancellation form to 8ta on the 16th of April after speaking to the consultant. She send me to collect a cancellation form at the local branch, which i did, completed and forwarded as instructed. The email was read and forwarded to the retentions department on the 17th of April. I again send the same email to the same retentions address to ask for confirmation of cancellation on the 23. I got a read receipt on the email but still no response. 2ndly, since December, my account was not debited from their side. I phoned to correct this however by end of Feb it was not resolved. I contacted the billings department again and was told that the query has been closed. on the 20th they debited my account for the full outstanding amount, however on the 28th i received a sms requesting immediate payment. When speaking to them today, is like nobody is aware of what is going on. i had to resent the cancelation notice and was told that the amount was deducted by their collections department therefore not reflecting as the account was given over to collections. I want the cancellation done and want nothing further to do with 8ta!
