I upgraded my contract with Vodacom on 29 August 2013. Vodacom was running a special for a free iPhone 4 handset. Subsequent to my upgrade, Vodacom started charging me R99 for the handset when it should have been free. About 2 months ago I contacted their customer contact centre to query this and they promised to look into the matter and get back to me within 24 to 48 hours but no one ever called me. After numerous calls to their contact centre no one has come back to me to explain what the issue is and I'm still being incorrectly billed. There has been numerous service queries that have been closed by their staff without even contacting me to give me any feedback. I have since stopped the debit order with my bank until this matter is resolved but Vodacom is very quick to send me SMSs demanding that I pay them the outstanding amount on my account but they don't even bother checking up on the query I have logged with them. The service I have received from Vodacom has been nothing but appalling. I'm considering terminating the contract with Vodacom. I have been a loyal customer for many years but the treatment I have received regarding this matter is disgusting. Very bad service!
