Vodacom
Could not fix simple iPhone problem

This is not actually for me to complain but to simply state facts that will help Vodacom improve their services.

Recently my dads iphone 4 went completely haywire. Still thinking he could solve it with the old school "removing the battery solution", he broke open the back cover and removed the battery. The problem was not solved. The back cover was broken and phone did not switch on.

We took it to the Vodashop, and after 2 weeks they informed us that they were not able to fix the phone.

Anyway, I took the phone to some backyard oak that managed to fix it within 2 hours. Working perfectly

I do not know what to think? Is it laziness, incompetency or just plain bad service?

A phone, bought on contract from Vodacom which they cannot even fix. How does that work?

Anyway, I have now decided to switch to another service provider after 12 years with Vodacom. This was the last straw for me.
