I recently upgraded a cell phone contract and got the Blackberry 9360. Within a couple days we realized the battery does not last longer than 3 hours. We took it in for repairs and it only got a software update. Needless to say the battery had the same problem within 24 hours. We took it in a second time and it was sent off to Joburg for advanced repairs. After more than 10 days we were notified that it could not be fixed. We then got a refurbished replacement phone (why could we not get one from the box no one knows). Within the next 24 hours, the SAME problem with the battery started. We took it in yesterday and explicitly asked for a DIFFERENT phone/model. I was notified that the phone has been sent in for repairs - this is not what I requested. The manager of repairs could not really assist, only promising to try and speed up the repairs process. I have been a customer with Vodacom for several years, with several contracts. I am extremely displeased, especially as we upgraded this contract specifically to have a better phone. This experience has completely broken my trust in Vodacom as a services provider. I hope they will resolve this issue immediately and comprehensively.
