Vodacom money/flaw in billing system

My data contract bill for October was R7 943.37. It is usually R149. I did not use the extra data and I have complained to Vodacom about it, without success.

No one tries to help me or to explain to me how the billing works. I have received a report detailing the data used per connection and the price charged for that. The bytes and the price does not correlate. Also, the total usage adds up to a different value than what Vodacom claims were used. I was promised explanations from three different people at customer care escalations, but no one is replying with an answer. I have no way of contacting them directly and it feels like no one is trying to help me.

After numerous requests to sort out the problem before the due date for the debit order, the money was still deducted from my account on Monday. Last Friday at 17:10 I was phoned back with an inadequate explanation.By that time it was too late to stop the debit order.

My feeling is that the people who I spoke to are incompetent in the sense of not being able to do basic maths to determine how I am billed. I suspect that Vodacom might have a flaw in their billing system.

I'm disappointed and furious with the level of service
