7/5/2013 I applied for a data contract at Cell C Menlyn. The contract is for a COMPAQ CQ58 with 2GB data plus a Huawei Mediapad Lite with 2GB data @ R529.00 per month. Not one month since entering this contract is this the amount that I have been charged! I was billed R650.00 per month and two months there were "Call charges" included. I called the Cell C client services on 13/09/2013 the first time. since then I have been to the branch in Menlyn 4 times. I have 4 reference numbers but no answers. The person that attended to the matter at the Menlyn branch apparently no longer works there. The manager at the branch agreed that they have been billing me incorrectly but still nothing has been done. I was also told at the branch not to pay the account until it has been sorted out. So I now have an account for over R2000.00 and 3 months data that I could not use but have to pay for!! At this point I would really just like to know how to go about returning the goods?
I have a cellphone contract with Cell C too, that is due for upgrade February 2014. Because of the poor service, or lack thereof, I am strongly considering not upgrading this contract but rather cancelling it.
