Issue 1:
For the month of October MTN sent me a sms: Your inclusive data bundle has been cancelled.
Then when I called they told me I got my data but used it up in one day... this never happened to me in 4 years of being with mtn...

Issue2:
On the 13th Nov I openened a new contract at Centurion MTN. Within 24 hours (14th Nov) I was back to give it back as I did not want the phone anymore, wanted a IPhone. They told me the Consumer Act does not apply to them and you cannot return. The 15th Nov I went to my attorney and took up the matter with them. They told me that you can get out of any contract with the Consumer Act. The 16th Nov I went back to MTN, they told me that it would cost approx R8000 to cancel, then add another phone charge of approx R2000 ontop of that for a contract of R269 a month x24... According to the Consumer Act the cancellation is within a reasonable time at a reasonable price. R10000 isn't very reasonable for R269 x 24 = R6456! Even worse - You cannot return for a full refund within the first 5 days... this is something the consumer act explicitly supports. The phone had not been used, not even one min talked or one meg of data.
