We opened a contract with mtn on the 26.09.13, since that day to the present we have had a issue. The contract gives us R100 airtime and 150mb data. Due to MTN's mistake our airtime was depleted the first day and we have had to buy over R60 in airtime. Reason being when using internet/apps it charges our airtime instead of data. We have been into the store several times at a minimum of 90 minutes each visit. We have called 1555 (technical services) several times and 808 each referring to us one another also taking on average 20 minutes per call and getting no where. Eventually we were in contact with the manager of the store with the same story of getting no service/help. Believe it or not we don't want to cancel our contract all we want to do is UPGRADE it to a better contract giving us more airtime and data as we understand all companies make mistakes. However the manager refused point blank and told us we need to pay the cancellation fee of a months contract AND the full amount for the cell phone cost. Then we can open a new contract? Please can someone either upgrade our contract or cancel it with no FEE or we will go to consumer protection board. We are still in the first 7 days
