I contacted Vodacom on the 17th September (1months notice) notifying them that i would like to cancel my contract as per my agreement with them. Today 01 November i am debited, R1440.00 for the same contract. I called Vodacom asking why the amount was debited off my account just to hear that I had upgraded and collected a new samsung S4 on the 25th September from, The Glen Voda Shop. I never did. I asked the consultant if she seen my request on the vodacom system to cancel the contract, she responded yes but that my original request had been cancelled and the new phone was ordered but she wouldnt divulge the number from which the new request for an upgrade had come from. This unbudgeted debit caused my bank account to go into a negative. Im told that its my responsibility to obtain an affidavit after spending 4 hours on the phone and my manager been upset with me... Im also told that I would have to wait for my refund until an investigation is completed. Im saddened that the responsibilty is now on me to prove innocence although i believe this incident is an inside job. All the expense, pain and suffering is also just brushed off as nothing... Does Vodacom care for their clients?
