I've been trying to do a sim swap with MTN since the 9th of October. Since I could not answer certain question accurately, I was told to go to a police station to do an affidavit and send it to MTN by fax. After numerous failed attempts to fax I called the call centre and I spoke to Ndumiso Hadebe who told me that I should fax the email to him and he referred my email to a supervisor who was supposed to call me within 2 to 48 hours but never did. I called MTN 4 times and spoke to four different agents (Nomfundo, Samkelisiwe, agent 3 and agent 4) each time and I had to repeat the same story and answer the same questions that the previous agents and they all told me they sent email to their supervisors who were supposed to call me within 2 to 48 hours and it's the 21st today and i'm still waiting. I sent an email to Ndumiso on the 18th and he forwarded me an email from his supervisor who informed him that the number provided on the affidavit was 1 digit short. No one has called me to inform me about this and I have no cooking clue what to do. I'm really stuck, MTN call centre processes are a joke for such a big company. This is totally unacceptable!
