808 and 809 numbers keep repeating voice prompts

I have been trying to reach the MTN call centre via 809 for several days now but the voice prompts in the menu just keep repeating themselves endlessly so the result is that you just cannot talk to anyone! This is incredibly frustrating and maddening!
This is especially frustrating as it has happened several times over the past months which makes one think that MTN does this on purpose so it can avoid talking to its unhappy customers.
I have been billed hundreds of Rands due to a databundle not loading and want answers from MTN. This type of behavior is downright criminal and I will make sure to report it to the ombudsman.
