Unable to reach MTN call centre

I have been trying to get through to the MTN call centre for three days now via dialing 808/809 directly from my MTN cell phone and have even tried via the landline on 083 1809. In both cases it asks me to confirm my cell phone number (which I do) and then just keeps repeating me to do this without putting me through to the next level. This is incredibly frustrating! How can MTN service its customers if they can't even get through to them at their call centres? And this is a telephone company!
