Account paid yet still threats of suspension

My account for August 2013 was paid on 26 August (due date was 01 September) via EFT. I have used this method of payment for at least 5 years. I now suddenly receive sms's threatening to suspend my account as my account is now in arrears according to MTN. I contacted the MTN yesterday and spoke to a consultant (name withheld) who promised me via e-mail that a query was logged as to why the payment (of which I sent him proof), was not allocated to my account. He also promised to provide me with feedback on the status of the query. Today I received more sms's threatening to suspend my account. I need someone at MTN accounts to sort out this mess caused by either an incapable system or -individual. Should this so called "non payment" reflect negatively on my credit record I will take the necessary action
