Making the "impossible" - possible

Telecommunications

I called the Corporate call centre, wanting to upgrade my contract. I was aware I would no longer be approved for this contract as I no longer work for the company (i freelance for them). I stated this at the begninning of the conversation. The lady continued to assist me with the contract, costs, etc. After all was completed I was asked for a work address and of course I didn't have one. Was then told to go into an MTN store to change my contract from Corporate to Consumer. Due to my place of residence (which is 2 hrs away from the nearest mall) I asked whether this cannot be done digitally/by phone, especially in this digital age. The call centre person said unfortunately not - I then got irritated & asked to speak to her manager. The team leader, Calvin, then gladly agreed to have my phone delivered to the adress we both agreed upon & have an alternate person collect the package on my behalf. Not very often have i recieved great customer service from any cellphone network (after 10yrs of dealing with them) - however there is a first time for everything. Impressed.
