My cellphone contract was in arrears but I was called and told that I qualify for an upgrade. i told the lady that I am not interested but instead would like to cancell my contract to go onto prepaid. I phoned the cancellation department to ask what my arreas amount was and was told to pay an amount of R800 to settle me arreas. My services were re-instated a day later and I then called the cancellations department to cancell my contract and let it go on prepaid. The lady i spoke to to said I had an outstanding amount of R300 that needed to be paid. Frustrated i agreed to pay. Low and behold three or four days laters, i'm not only suspended but my number gets deleted off the network. Today i called the call centre but to no avail. I spoke to a guy by the name of Thami Rabuku who seemed to be of assistance but not too clued up and had to keep consulting his team leader. At one stage I asked how much it was to reactivate, to which Thami said it's no charge. I asked for a refernce to give to the store and there he went again to his team leader. Then only to come back and say sorry the charge is R185. i asked to speak to his supervisor since the fault was not mine that I got deleted.
