I received an sms from Vodacom on Sunday 9th Dec notifying me that my account had been soft blocked due to reaching credit limit. I couldnt understand this as the contract never had any limit & the fact that my monthly bill averages R300-R400. I called in to discuss with a consultant & to my dismay I was informed that I had reached & exceeded my limit of R2650 with a bill of R4580.32 due to data usage. I explained that the only thing that I had done any differently was that I watched a few YouTube videos (which I should anyway not be charged for seeing that I activated Blackberry Internet Service) & requested that an itemized billing be sent to me so that I could see what the bill was for & dispute it. I was informed by a lady that due to my account being locked, I would not be able to get an itemized billing until I settle at least R3500 of the bill. I called again & a male agreed to send it to me & I had instructed not to debit my account until itemized bill was received but they still went in & debited the full amount. I have not heard from vodacom until I called & emailed the MD & CEO to which i got a response that some1 would contact me (like thats gona happen). Vodacom!
