On 10 July, I specially went to their head office in George to lodge a query concerning the fact that I was being billed R5564.34 for data usage. I proceeded to wait for this privilege, as they only have one person that can assist you. When I finally was given the opportunity to query this massive account; I was told that in order for her to do so I needed to pay R22.80 so she can look at my itemised billing to deal with the query. My jaw just about dropped to the floor, I have to pay to query the account!! I have 3 contracts with this company!!! I refused and she then proceeded to log my query, which since I refused to pay would take 7 to 14 days. I have yet to receive a reference number! What she did tell me was that I had used 2, 941 gig. Now I am no technology guru but I think my calculation is correct. 2.941 x 1024 = 3012meg; at R1 per meg as per contract; thus R3012.00 vat = R3433.68. a difference of R2130.66 to what I am being billed. When I raised this with the lady, she told me that she could not answer my question! I thought it is fairly clear. If she can see on her computer the data usage of 2, 941gig, then its simple maths. Now I wait!! ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING SERVICE!!!
