I was billed a total amount of R4800.00 on my Vodacom account. I just recently upgraded after almost 2 years cause I was extremely sceptical of the billings and I feel that I should have not upgraded cause I knew that somewhere down the line, we will have issues with the billing. Vodacom states that it was purely related to data usage, I got an itemised billing from their website and noticed that before my new contract kicked in, there was a lot of data used. I am not sure which websites was used so I requested this information from Thabisa Mketshani on a 155 number for data and she advised that they cannot provide me with a detailed summary and I should know what websites I used on my phone. I cannot remember this as this was in December 2013. How can a service provider not have a detailed summary of which websites in order for me to verify if the billing is correct or not? I cannot afford this amount so I want someone to assist but when I call in, I feel that the consultants are not equipped to handle my query and assist accordingly. I would like a proper consultant to contact me and explain these charges. When I upgraded, the consultant should have advised the total costs.
