Incorrect billing, but now my line is supspended

I tried to do an upgrade in May which, on second thoughts, I then decided against and the upgrade was cancelled at that time, at the store. Now my account has been messed up since then. I've been charged fees relating to that package that i wanted to upgrade to as well as an upgrade fee.
For May and June accounts, I only paid what I should have been billed for, which is what I have been paying all along before attempting to upgrade. I tried sorting this out with Mtn. I've been given one ref no. after another. Staying on the phone for a long time with call centre consultants trying to resolve this and even went to the store, but this has still not been resolved. (101381149 & 101441940 are the only ref no.s that I still have among the many i was given)
I'm so frustrated because my line has been suspended. I cant make any calls nor access my emails. All thanks to someone's incompetency at MTN for not reversing that upgrade properly! I cant pay for the new handset, which I don't have. I can't be paying for an upgrade fee when I am still to do the upgrade! I sent a mail to MTN and i'm told to wait 7-10 days for the query to be attended to. Cant they open my line in the meantime?
