HORRIBLE SERVICE - STILL STRUGGLING

I have decided to get a MTN Anytime 200 contract from MTN Cape Gate.

When I arrived to inquire, they assured me that it was quick and easy, I have to fill out all the forms and wait 24 hours to know if my request was accepted and then I can come collect my phone. I also wanted to keep my old prepaid number, again I was assured that it is easy and painless.

After doing everything and supplying them with all documents I waited for my contract to be approved, once approved, I went to collect my phone, but heard that the port for my number from one network to another will take a few hours. I explained to them that I cannot be disconnected completely, their solution, they will give me the new MTN simcard and when it switches over I can use it in my old phone.

It switched over at about 19:00 that night, but as my simcard was not RICA'd (something they did not even mention) it was not working and I was offline, it is now 48 hours later and according to them I am RICA'd but my simcard is still not working. I keep calling, with the promise that they will phone me back... nothing

I just spoke to customer care and they said it will be sorted out in the next 2 hours, let's hope
