BIS intermittent service

I have an 8520 curve and for months now my BIS has gone off almost on a daily basis for between a few minutes to hours. I cannot send emails, BBM or access the internet but my calls and sms coverage are unaffected. Sometimes doing a battery pull works, sometimes turning all connections off and on again works but more often than not neither work and I have to wait it out. I have called the call center a few times but I just get the usual suggestions. Please will someone who knows what the problem is help me resolve it as it is extremely frustrating to not use 3 really important functions of my phone.
