Returned handset but being billed for it

I entered into a contract with vodacom, whereby I get a phone (blackberry) and a web book for R158 per month, but I was given only the cell phone because the webbooks were apparently out of stock, I took the cell phone and was told to come back in a few days to collect the web book. I waited more then a month after consistantly goin to the branch to check if my web book has arrived, but even so I did not have the web book, I was billed for it (as per contract). Finally decided to return the handset and cancel the contract because vodacom did not meet their contractual obligation, the branch accepted the hanset and told me that they will stop the contact, to my surprise, a yesterday I was billed R1800 as if I purchased them in cash, I contacted the branch immediately before the debit Order can go through and they promised me that it will not deduct.
Therefore it appears that vodacom did not cancel the contract and in addition billied R1800.
Can someone please assist me?
