For 2, 5 years I've made numerous calls to vodacom about over billing. Though I was over billed for my 1st contract, I upgraded. The upgrade was to come with a netbook which never materialised. After a month of querying I cancelled, returned the phone unopened & continued my contract for airtime only, no handset. I was over billed again, this time being charged for a handset which showed as returned on Vodacom's system! After more phone calls I still didn't have a resolution. I went to their customer "care" store, waited 45mins, no luck. I called the call centre myself. The consultant promised statements detailing subscription fees for the duration of my contract. The statements sent only detailed the monthly sum deducted & the guy I was put through to for my refund told me he could see a credit on the system but I could not be refunded & in spite of the amount showing as over billed I'd have to submit my bank statement! I called back, was passed on to 3 depts & #3 wanted to transfer me back to dept #1. I refused. I'm now expected to pay R484 for itemized billing to prove that they over billed me when their employee confirmed I was billed for the wrong contract.
