Unaccounted for PSD Call Charges from MTN

I received an sms from MTN to inform me that I had utilized 90% of my credit limit. At the same time my cell phone service was immediately suspended. On contacting them, I was informed that I had over R5000.00 in PSD Calls (whatever that is). I cannot understand where these charges come from.

I was informed that I cannot get any information on these PSD Calls (or dispute them) until my bill is finalized in one months time!! So I have to continue on (after upp'ing my credit limit) and possibly exposed to further exorbitant PSD Call charges. How big will the bill be by then!

I was told that I could view my data usage etc on MTN active. However all I can see is my unbilled amount, no invoice info, itemized billing info, data usage etc.

Surely they can do better than that?

By the way, the Credit limit seems to be useless as it only kicks in once the problem has happened. Whats the use of that? Surely, in this day and age, something could be put in place to alert you of excessive usage. Or perhaps that's not profitable!
