I have been fighting with Telkom for roughly the past month with regard to my ADSL line. I either have intermittent service, a slow line (384k as confirmed by speed tests and the Telkom call centre) or absolutely no service at all. I have called Telkom to report/complain about this on numerous occasions and either get the generic response of we will escalate this issue from every consultant and team leader i have spoken to, or just don't receive call backs from Telkom team leaders as promised. Added to this after many phone calls (and a visit from a technician), Telkom has confirmed that the line itself is faulty/broken but seem to be incapable of fixing one of THEIR broken lines (a technician has already worked on this, but no one seems to be able to ACTUALLY sort out my problem). I have been wanting to upgrade my line speed for some time now but I don't see the point of this if the only service that Telkom can give me a stone age like 384k line as all I will be doing is paying more for 384k line.
