We reported a slow line speed issue to our ADSL service provider (who are fabulous, by the way). They then logged a call with Telkom as the fault was not on our account or router settings. Telkom then sent a technician who didn't check our line at all, he simply phoned his office and was told that they were upgrading the exchange so our line had to be slowed down. When we asked how long it would take for the upgrade to be completed, he just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know. It has been three weeks since then with no resolution. We are paying for the use of a 10 meg per second line but are getting speeds of less than 1 meg! Have a look at our line speed test results: [URL Removed]

Telkom did not even communicate the upgrade to us or to our ADSL service provider. Some feedback on a date of completion would be greatly appreciated. It just seems as though no thought is given to the customer or subscriber being inconvenienced and overcharged!
