I'm not sure what amount of time is ethical, but I thought after months of visiting different branches, calling the call center, messages on twitter I have now given Vodacom enough time to attend to my problem, and will look for assistance elsewhere...

I am using an Iphone5. On average 4 times per day, when I look at my phone it says "no service". Only after I reboot the phone I will have reception and will be able to make and receive a few calls. When I do have reception the call quality is, more often than not, very poor.

I use this phone for business and this is a number customers try to reach me on very often. More regularly, my customers gets upset with not being able to reach me, and when I want to make a quick call, I find it is time to reboot first, which often result in missed opportunities.

I have had settings given to me telephonically, changed at Ermelo and O.R. Tambo airport's Vodacom branches. I have resorted to Apple and they claim there is a compatibility problem between the network and the Iphone5, which some Vodacom consultants confirmed, but said the new settings will resolve my problem.

Can I cancel this contract, after only 5 months, without a penalty?
