I have been a vodacom customer for about 7 years. During this time, I have complained to vodacom dozens of times about poor reception, calls going directly to voicemail, calls getting cut, SIM card being rejected, etc. The response of the call centre is always "we have logged a service request". I realize now that this means 'we don't know what the problem is, and have no idea how to fix it. We will also not admit to this cos we will be exposed for the useless network that we are'.

In most cases, vodacom doesn't even bother to call me back with any update regarding my complaint. Every time I call them, it's as it's the first time they are receiving my complaint. I have even tried canceling my contract with them, but obviously they won't! Occasionally they send me an SMS to say that the problem has been resolved, but the very next day I experience the problem again.

I run a small business and am mostly on the road seeing clients all day. My cell phone is the only way I'm contactable. Being a customer of vodacom has cost me hundreds of thousands of rands in lost business due to clients not being able to reach me. Sadly, vodacom doesn't give a.
