Mtn Samsung S3

Telecommunications

Good day,
I upgraded to a S3 (IEMI 353164053305790) on 22/09/2012. The screen cracked from the inside in Feb 2013. I took the device in for warranty as it's apperantly a problem with the device and the phone wasnt dropped or banged (no abuse).
After months of debating with MTN and Samsung, I decided to pay for the repairs myself. I paid R1314.00 to have the screen replaced, finally it arrived instore on 12/05/2013 (3 months after sending it in - 11/02/2013).
We checked the device instore and found that it wouldn't switch on. I pay every month for a device i dont have. I only had the device 4 months of the 8, the other 4 months it was with MTN.
Your friendly assistant confirmed that it should be replaced as it's by right still in the 6 month replacement period however it will be sent away for assessment/repair.
Sorry to say, im dissapointed to say the very least! U expect a little more from such a big service provider and a R8000 device. Once again I' without a phone as Mtn wont stick to their promises.
I will be contacting the onbudsman and consumer protection if this is not resolved by Wednesday, I'm not happy with ending up with a repaired device which is obviously faulty.
