Faulty S4 device - no replacement offered

Electronics and household app.

I have obtained a Samsung S4 device on July 8, 2013.

on 24 August 2013 suddenly without any warning the device fails to read my SIM card. Hence my device is rendered unuseable since I now have no network coverage. This is purely a device issue and not a network issue.

In addition the device did NOT fall. Nor was there any other incidental damage where I may have been negligent.

Was advised to take the device in to a Samsung Repair Centre to ascertain the problem.

It was discovered that the main board of the phone was faulty. The manager on duty, Rudolf, said that the device will be replaced.

Then I am told there are NO devices available to be replaced. Nor any loan device available. I would have to wait 3 - 5 weeks.

This is most unacceptable. I find it hard to believe that Samsung has NO S4 to replace my faulty one. Specially since the malfunction was a device issue and not any of my negligence.

I work in the Health Sector. This leaves me with no mobile device. Which is very frustrating.

The least I would expect that Samsung provide a loan device until a new replacment is obtained.
