8ta won't release my cell numbe

My contract expired in Feb 2013. I first gave notice in December 2012 to inform them the contract must not be renewed. I requested the number be made pre-paid because I have to migrate to another network for work purposes. Subsequently I followed up and had various monthly written & verbal exchanges with the call centre, retaining dept, cancellations and telkom mobile offices. Every time the promise is made that my number will be released. First it would have been released on the 1st of March then first of April and finally 1st of May. Every time they fail to do it and tell me I must remind them again in 30 days - as if it is my duty to ensure they do their jobs. Never mind breaching a (non-existing) contract - it is violating my consumer rights. I fulfilled every obligation during my time of contractual binding and just want out! I again contacted them early this morning and the only response is from nameless - informing me to go to one of the stores to have my number released. Now after 5 months they send me to a sales agent in-store? Talk about passing the buck! Pathetic!!! STAY AWAY from these guys if you want to preserve your sanity, your dignity and you cell number! They!
