I have a telkom mix contract that expired on the 16.07.2013. It was suppose to be renewed or upgraded. I went to the telkom store in Midrand and was told that the contract cannot be renewed on the existing number and that i will have to take a new contract. I call the customer service line and asked for the existing contract to be cancelled and the number converted to prepaid. The number was cancelled but not changed to prepaid. I went to telkom shop in Midrand and was assisted by Gali as the number was now non existent and i wished to continue using the number. Gali gave me a new sim card and said that she will activate the number as a prepaid number. However, the next morning the contract was reactivated and i received the monthly air time that i previously use to get. Gali e-mailed to say i should carry on using the old sim card. Now i cannot get a new contract as the old one is still in existence. E-mails to telkomshop employees have not been responded to. No one seems to help or know what is going on. I am now using the old contract without the benefit of a new phone. How unfair is that? Can someone who knows what is going on please assist me.
